What Is ROAL?

NIM is dedicated to helping people 55+ live healthy, active and connected lives in the community through our Resources for Older Adult Living (ROAL) program. We help older adults in the community find the resources they need to continue living in their homes and neighborhoods.

If you or a loved one are 55+, and you want a hand, free of charge, with literally anything – understanding your medical bills, finding someone to mow your lawn or help you with your taxes – we will do our best to help. We’re not saying we can fix everything, but our staff will try to point you in the right direction and offer whatever assistance we can.

ROAL’s uniqueness lies in its extensive knowledge of the community and the resources it offers residents. We provide a comprehensive consultation by trained professionals regarding individualized planning and problem-solving around needs of older adults.

How Do I Use ROAL?

The process is easy, and our staff is friendly. Simply call (215) 843-5602 anytime Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm with any question or difficulty you might have, and we will do our best to help you find a solution. Anyone can call us; family members, neighbors, friends or professionals are all welcome.

You can also visit our website at www.roalatnim.org with an up-to-date Resource Directory for Older Adults in the Northwest, which provides a listing of important community events, classes and educational programs pertaining to aging. The Directory will help you find volunteering opportunities, housing options, health and wellness programs, transportation, benefits, nutrition and food programs, socialization, adult day programs, legal resources and much more!

You are also welcome to talk with us in person at The NIM Resource Center (7051 Germantown Avenue, Northwest Philadelphia), which contains a wealth of information, including event literature, program applications and educational booklets on a variety of topics.
